Behind closed doors is an expression through imagery, and text how I have grieved for my mother before she became ill. Using archival imagery the past has been shown before she became ill, and the present, which is what we have now, and what we see day to day. The final piece contains a letter, which is dedicated to my mother. I chose to use a letter as I felt it was best in expressing thoughts, my feelings. The body of work is in the format of a handmade book.
